Grey's Story
On Tuesday May 8th, 2007 Grey's surgery will be performed by cardiologist, Dr. Karen Sanderson of Alameda East Veterinary Hospital who is discounting her services. The procedure is called a balloon valvoplasty, which is similar to angioplasty for humans. A balloon will be sent through to open the blockage. The procedure is minimally invasive with an incision at the neck and recovery time of one to two weeks while the incision heals. Click here to see the original newspaper story about Grey. Update #1: Grey is having his surgery today (05/08/07) at noon at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. He will stay for one or two days. We will know sometime this afternoon how the procedure went.
