Misha's Story
The One and Only Misha![]() |
Misha was on her way to a shelter in Clearwater, Florida when she had the good fortune to be rescued by a couple who kept her for a year before finding her a home with me. They hadn't wanted a dog - but there she was - a beautiful, spunky 10 month old Black lab mix! She became my inspiration, constant companion, and the joy of my life for over 15 years.
What would have become of Misha had she completed the trip to the shelter? Who knows for sure. But, did you know that even in the best of shelters, with loving care, proper nutrition, daily walks and specially designed training programs, there are still some dogs who, while waiting for a home, simply cannot withstand the stress, fear, loneliness and loss? It is just these dogs who may make the best pets. They are often the ones who crave human companionship and would thrive on the daily affection and play in their own family. Sadly, however, they become less and less attractive to potential human companions, as they appear increasingly needy or anxious, depressed or disinterested. Who will adopt or foster them then?
We hope it is you. And we are prepared to help with our Holistic Wellness Plans. Even though there are numerous organizations helping animals, in the end, each animal needs a home he or she can count on to uniquely nourish a broken or neglected spirit. It is our mission to help you help these "special" dogs become whole once more.
